A: Yes. The DATES tab on the main page contains the 2019 General Election Schedule which provides deadline dates that may apply to you.
A. All enrolled members of the Nation who have reached the age of 18 years are eligible to vote. An enrolled member who is otherwise eligible to vote shall not be disqualified from voting by a felony conviction.
A: An eligible person may register to vote by timely filing an Original Voter Registration Form with the Election Board at the Election Office. This form is available on the FORMS tab on the main page. Once the Board receives a Form, it will process it in accordance with Section 1402(C) of the Election Law. You can access the Election Law on the tab located on the main page.
A: No. You may select a district and community in which you wish to register. The district or “regional reference” appearing on a registrant’s enrollment identification shall not prevent the registrant from becoming a registered voter in any district.
A. Yes. Section 1403 of the Election Law outlines the appeal process. You can access the Election Law on the tab located on the main page.
A: A registered voter may cast their vote at the polling place in the district in which such voter is registered. The POLLING PLACE tab on the main page provides a brief description about the polling places and provides their locations.
A: Yes. A Voter Update Form is available on the FORMS tab on the main page. This form allows you to update your address or name change. You can return the form by mail or in person to the Election Office.
A: Yes. An eligible voter on the Official List of Registered Voters shall be entitled to vote by absentee ballot. A person may request an Absentee Ballot Request Form in person at the Election Office or print a Request Form from this website. A voter may also contact the Election Office to ask that a Request Form be mailed to him or her. The registered voter must fill out the Request Form completely and must file it with the Board at the Election Office by mail or in person before the filing deadline. The filing deadline date for the Primary Election is April 01, 2019. The filing deadline date for the General Election is April 29, 2019.
A: Yes. Section 1402(D) outlines the transfer process in more detail. However, a registered voter may transfer his or her registration from one district to another by timely filing a Transfer Voter Registration Form with the Election Board at the Election Office. This Form is available on the FORMS tab on the main page. Once the Election Board receives a Form, it will process it in accordance with Section 1402(C) of the Election Law.
